Davidov Architects

Established in 2011, Davidov Architects is led by director Robert Davidov, with associates Wendy Chen and Ben Schmideg. Our team have worked in residential projects across metropolitan Melbourne and the Mornington Peninsula, delivering thoughtful, functional and timeless designs.

We have a reputation for quality, creating enduring outcomes with a limited material palette and refined detailing, evident in both personal homes and multi-residential developments.

Central to each project is our dedication to sustainability and longevity. Our considered use of durable, high-quality materials for both interiors and exteriors allows us to craft projects that have a sense of permanence and solidity.

Project: Circle|Square

MPavilion annually engages an architect to design a pavilion to host a summer festival of free public events. For MPavilion 10, celebrated Japanese architect Tadao Ando was invited, and personally selected Davidov Architects’ pure and considered Circle|Square design as the seating.

Davidov Architects’ design for the MPavilion Chair Commission drew inspiration from Tadao Ando’s explicit emphasis on the geometry of circles and squares. By incorporating these strong platonic forms, the Circle|Square stool aims to integrate the overall concept of MPavilion 10, echoing its composition and form.
