Project: Aurora Place
The upgrade of Aurora Place is part of a developing strategy to reinvigorate an architectural icon in response to the changing needs of the workforce.
Originally designed by Renzo Piano, a ‘do more with less’ approach was adopted.
The iconic bones of the space have been retained, namely the terracotta façade and astral black stone floor which emphasise the connection between the building exterior and surrounding urban realm.
Existing timber materials were salvaged and recycled minimising the carbon footprint of the refurbishment.
