Brown Falconer

Brown Falconer is at the forefront of contemporary aged care design. Our successes derive from our commitment to authenticity and integrity. Research and collaboration with our clients drive our design process.

For CCH Summerhill, significant consultation with stakeholders, residents, and Urban Mind Studio, leveraged the potential in creating great design solutions in social and urban contexts. The collaborative process created a strong foundation that evolved to establish the guiding principles where collaborators gained ownership of project outcomes.

We are proud to be one of the largest longest standing architectural practices in Adelaide, with continuous operation for nearly eight decades.

Project: Clayton Church Homes Summerhill

CCH Summerhill located on a hilltop amongst the vineyards, overlooks the Uraidla township.

The project embraces design for dementia with houses of 10-20 leading off a central main “Street of Life”, including common and specialist spaces. CO-LAB workshops provided briefing information and developed the guiding principles and finalised the conceptual model. A collaborative effort and cultural mapping process provided a connection between Uraidla’s history and the project’s design narrative. Workshop aspirations from the stakeholders created an inclusive environment, embedded in community, with a connection and respect to the township.
