● Dr. Rafael Gomez
Dr Rafael Gomez is Study Area Coordinator for Industrial Design at Queensland University of Technology (QUT) andhas built his career as an academic and practising designer. He is Founder and Head of the BMW Group + QUT Design Academy, which focuses on fostering design excellence, exploring new knowledge horizons and advancing cutting-edge technologies. The program offers internships, and R+D projects between BMW Group in Germany and QUT in Australia.
Rafael holds a PhD with an expertise in emotional experience and health wearables publishing and presenting his work nationally and internationally as an invited speaker, and across top-tier design conferences, journals and books.
In addition, Rafael has over 18 years industry experience as a designer for small, medium and large enterprises. He was Founder and Director of Propaganda Mill, a multi-disciplinary design company that worked across industrial design, graphic and branding, and high-end visualisation
