Marcus Fairs is Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Dezeen. Prior to founding Dezeen in 2006, Marcus contributed to numerous publications including Building Design, Blueprint, The Guardian, The Independent on Sunday, Conde Nast Traveller,and was founding editor of icon magazine.
Dezeen now attracts two million visitors a month, and Marcus regularly appears on radio and TV, including a documentary about Philippe Starck for the BBC. An accomplished public speaker, Marcus has spoken at conferences in London, Tokyo, New York, Stockholm and Cape Town, among others.
In 2017, Marcus was the first digital journalist to be awarded an Honourary Fellowship of the Royal Institute of British Architects. In 2018 he was named one of the 1,000 most influential people in London by the Evening Standard. Other accolades include journalist of the year and business editor of the year.
