COX Architecture with H&E Architects

COX Architecture is a design-focused contemporary architectural practice with Studios located in every major Australian city. Our design ethos underpins every project. Key to our ethos is enhancing the public life of our cities. We endeavour to do this by ensuring every project makes a positive contribution to its public realm – that it gives more than it takes.

H&E is an award-winning architecture and interior design practice. H&E’s success is shaped by 25-plus years of operation focussed on innovative, enlivened, and functional creativity. Framed by inclusivity, enthusiasm and peerless talent, H&E has achieved acclaim across a suite of standout hospitality, retail, commercial and residential projects.

Project: Genzo

Genzo is a story of contrast and harmony, the juxtaposition of old and new. Drawing inspiration from the interplay between tradition and counterculture in Japan, Genzo explores the dynamic beauty of these two cultures coexisting.

The Japanese Izakaya concept is an uber slick, experiential destination inspired by the dichotomy between traditional Japanese traditions and modern counter culture, with its vibrant iterations of self expression in fashion art and design.  With sexy booth or flirty bar seating, extensive wine, cocktails and a Sake library, it is an other-worldly experience.
