Award of Merit:

Danielle Brustman for Brighton Street Early Learning

Danielle Brustman for Brighton Street Early Learning.png

Danielle Brustman has brought the interior of a brutalist concrete building and translated them into a colourful and imaginative world for children. Exposed concrete ceilings are softened by the hand-painted pastel murals, gradient tiles, and playful shapes that animate the spaces.

Complex and colourful, yet gentle and balanced. The result is a welcoming, stimulating inclusive environment for children – far removed from the often-formulaic institutional interiors found in educational spaces.
