About the Project
The Bintracker Mobi is an IoT device providing precise, point-of-collection waste measurement to achieve altitudinal, operational and environmental benefits.
Our approach built-off the client’s brief and an early prototype. From this, Cobalt identified and resolved four usability issues: Bag hanging; Device clamping; Power management; and Design-for-manufacture. Our involvement spanned the full suite of product development; from industrial design, engineering and electronics/firmware, to production management, marketing collateral and packaging design.
The result; a rugged, portable cordless smart scales device that expands and completes our client’s current business offering. More importantly, its data empowers businesses to manage and reduce their waste.
