Award of Merit:

Art Theory for FOMO Public Art

Our studio specialises in the bringing together of two worlds — art and projects — in strategic and meaningful ways. The right art in the right place turns heads, delights the public, elevates built environments, enriches projects, and at its best explores ideas and evokes positive change. With a passion for curating and commissioning contemporary art, our team delivers world-class projects to both private and public realms. Services range from cultural consultation, strategic planning, curation, commissioning and approvals, right through to fabrication, interpretation and consultant coordination, our scope is customised to suit each project’s specific requirements.

About the Project

Our studio was invited to design a public art collection for the FOMO site in Walyalup Koort, Fremantle. FOMO is a mixed use development located on the town centre of Walyalup / Fremantle, with a vision for the precinct to be a vibrant blend of; architecture, art, culture, workplace, retail & dining. Working with existing architecture we curated a collection of public artworks to be located generously around the site, engaging with patrons no matter which of the four street fronts they entered via. Artists were invited to respond to a theme and the site itself, promoting community engagement and connection.
